Open Question: Windows 7 graphical problems?

Well, I recently installed Windows 7 on my computer, and everything was working fine. However, due to my lack of an antivirus program, my system was infected, but I managed to get rid of it. Anyway, after that, it seems that my Windows 7 isn't looking like itself (literally). The selection square doesn't look like the old one did (it had a blue fill on the inside, and now it's more like a marquee that the XP Operating System had). Also, when I try to drag a window, normally, the entire window would move while I had my Left Mouse Button held down, but now, it's the same thing as the selection problem - it only shows a marquee. My best guess is that some files have been removed. Does anyone have any answers as to how to fix this? And if there is a solution that does not involve reinstalling my OS, I would prefer it.
